SAGGI Child Development & Disabilities è la rivista dell'Istituto Scientifico "Eugenio Medea" dell'Associazione "La Nostra Famiglia". Pubblica trimestralmente numeri monotematici relativi soprattutto allo sviluppo infantile e alle sue problematiche, nonché a tutti gli aspetti della riabilitazione con particolare riferimento all'età evolutiva.
Ciascun numero è curato da un Guest Editor, designato dall'Editor in Chief, che ha il compito di:

Non potranno essere pubblicate tabelle, fotografie, ecc. a colori.

L'accuratezza dell'elenco delle voci bibliografiche e delle informazioni relative alle fonti citate nel testo è responsabilità dell'Autore.
Citare le voci bibliografiche in ordine alfabetico e numerate, gli autori fino ad un massimo di sei (se più numerosi, aggiungere et al.).
Abbreviare i titoli delle riviste secondo le indicazioni di Index Medicus.
Per i riferimenti alla bibliografia all’interno del testo, citare il numero della voce bibliografica relativa tra parentesi quadre (es.: [15] per la voce bibliografica n. 15 presente nella bibliografia).

Information for Authors

SAGGI Child Development & Disabilities is the journal of Scientific Institute "Eugenio Medea" of "La Nostra Famiglia" Association. It publishes quarterly single-theme issues with a focus on child development and disabilities and on all aspects of rehabilitation in developmental age.
Each issue is edited by a Guest Editor, appointed by the Editor-in-Chief.
The Guest Editor is responsible for:

• selecting and proposing the authors' names that will contribute to the Issue;
• guaranteeing quality of contents (both scientific and formative topics) of each contribution;
• writing a general introduction to the Issue presenting each single contribution, and emphasizing the relevance of the Issue to the current state of the art in that specific field;
• verifying that the style of manuscripts complies with the journal style (see below);
• making a list of the authors (name, surname, institutional affiliation, address);
• guaranteeing that deadlines - established by the Editor-in-Chief - for manuscript submission are met.

Classification of Manuscripts

Apart from contributions collected by the Guest Editor, SAGGI Child Development & Disabilities publishes reviews, clinical cases, reports of congresses or workshops, brief technical notes and letters.

Manuscript Preparation

• Original articles and clinical cases require abstracts which may not exceed 250 words (min. 150 - max. 250 words) written both in Italian and English.
• Three to five key words should be added to the bottom of the abstract page. Use terms from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) from Medline (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh).
• The manuscript should include a title both in Italian and English, the full name(s) of the author(s) and their academic titles, the institutional affiliations of the authors together with the signature of the Director of the Institution.
• Manuscripts should be no longer than 15 pages (25 lines x 70 characters) with max. 10 tables and figures.
• The first time an abbreviation and/or acronym appears it should be preceded by the words it stands for.
• Use the International System of Units (SI) in all manuscripts.
• Generic names should generally be used for drugs.
• List acknowledgments, including financial support, at the end of the manuscript.

Electronic Manuscript Submission

• Label the disk with the corresponding author's name.
• Use Microsoft Word for Windows.
• Use the default typeface (i.e., Times New Roman) and font size 12. Line spacing should be set at 2.
• Do not insert tabs, symbols, or justifications.
• Place page numbers at the foot of each page and use Arabic numerals.

Tables and Figures

• Save all tables, graphs and figures in different files (one for each table or graph).
• Use Excel for graphs, Word or Excel for tables.
• Use .jpeg format for pictures.
• Save table or figure files using the corresponding author’s name plus tab or fig. Number them consecutively using Arabic numerals for figures and Roman numerals for tables (es. bianchifig01.doc; bianchitab0I.xls).
• Number tables using Roman numerals and graphs using Arabic numerals, with corresponding titles.
• Legends should be numbered according to tables and/or figures and should be provided on a separate sheet.

Please submit tables, picture, etc. in black and white. No colour artwork will be published.

References

The authors are responsible for the accuracy of references and information from other sources cited in the text.
Cite references in alphabetical and numerical order. List all authors when there are six or fewer; when there are seven or more, list only the first six and add et al.
Use Index Medicus abbreviations for journal names.Cite each reference in the text using the number of the reference in square brackets (e.g., [15] for reference n. 15 in the references list).
